It is capable of testing a variety of battery types, encompassing button cells, pouch cells, and cylindrical cells. This precision instrument boasts four distinct measurement ranges, as indicated by its series model designation. It supports a maximum voltage of 5V and a maximum test current of 6A. The device's four testing ranges are meticulously calibrated to cover 0.5mA to 100mA, 100mA to 500mA, 500mA to 3A, and 3A to 6A. This segmentation from 0.5mA up to 6A into four distinct ranges ensures precise control over small current measurements, thereby fulfilling the stringent accuracy demands of battery testing.


NEWARE CT-4008Q-5V6A-164 is a battery testing device designed for precision testing of various battery types, including button cells, pouch cells, and cylindrical cells. This device is equipped with stable performance parameters that ensure the accuracy and reliability of test data. Additionally, it features a modular design, with each unit comprising 8 channels capable of independent data acquisition. The device supports up to 254 editable lines, maximizing the flexibility and capability of the testing process.

The current testing accuracy of the CT-4008Q-5V6A-164 can reach ±0.02% F.S, and the recording frequency can achieve 10Hz. The sampling time is as fast as 100ms, and the current response time can meet the requirement from 10% F.S to 90% F.S. Furthermore, the minimum pulse width is 500ms, which is essential for testing the performance of batteries under rapid changes in current and power.

NEWARE describes the dimensions of a single test unit


Each testing unit has a height of 3U, a length of 19 inches (482.6mm), and a width of 13.86 inches (352mm). It occupies minimal space while offering numerous testing capabilities. Multiple units can be assembled onto a gantry, allowing easy storage and fulfilling the requirements for testing multiple batteries.


The battery testing equipment integrates multiple testing modes. In conjunction with the BTS software, which is developed by NEWARE, it facilitates a range of tests such as Cycle Life Test, Rate Charging/discharging test, pulse simulation test, GITT test, and DCIR test. With the integration of BTS software, users are enabled to measure and map out the battery's differential capacity curve, dQ/dV, thereby aiding in differential capacity curve analysis.
