  • Open the preset cycle test procedure and let the battery rest for 1 hour to stabilize its internal state.

  • Since the study was on cathode materials, the battery was charged first.

  • Setting the constant current charging step and selecting the C-rate mode.

  • The nominal specific capacity of the organic cathode material studied in this experiment is 515mAh/g, which can be found in reference.

  • Enter the actual mass of active material 2mg.

  • Set the activation rate to 1C.

  • Small current activation removes the passivation layer on the surface of aluminum metal and adjusts the internal structure of the cell, including the uniform distribution of active substances and the stability of the solid-liquid interface.

  • Reduce the polarization phenomenon of the battery during the cycling process, and improve the cycle stability and performance consistency of the battery.

  • Because the aluminum chloride-based ionic liquid electrolyte used will decompose above 2.4V.

  • So set the charging cutoff voltage 2.3V.

  • Then set the constant-current discharge electrical step with a discharge cutoff voltage of 0.1V.

  • Cycle start step is 2, cycle 10 times.

  • Continue to set the constant-current charging and constant-current discharging steps, and set the cycle multiplication rate to 10C.

  • This experiment is to study the long cycle life of the battery, so the number of cycles can be set to 10000 and above.

  • Set the cycle rate (current) and cycle times according to your own needs.
