Battery Manufacturing Terminology
During the unwinding or rewinding process, the alignment and direction of the sheets are maintained correctly, or the specified winding evenness is achieved by the linear movement of the reel stand.
Force is applied to the sheets during unwinding, coating, and rewinding processes to ensure the sheets are laid flat and maintain their direction.
In the core pack manufacturing process, the alignment of all positive or negative electrode sheets along the envelope edges in the length and width directions is referred to as "CU" (Cathode Alignment) for positive electrodes and "DU" (Anode Alignment) for negative electrodes.
A specialized mechanical equipment that combines dispersion and mixing into one and is suitable for mixing the positive and negative electrode materials of lithium-ion batteries.
A specialized equipment with drying capabilities for applying a paste-like polymer, molten polymer, or polymer melt onto copper or aluminum foil to produce composite materials (electrodes).
A specialized equipment for continuously rolling and compacting electrode sheets to achieve the required density.
A specialized equipment used to cut the continuously wound electrode sheets into the required electrode width for battery manufacturing.
A specialized equipment used to cut the rolled cylindrical lithium-ion battery separator into the desired width for specific applications.
A specialized equipment used to punch and cut the continuous roll of electrode sheets into the required sheet-like positive and negative electrode sheets for stacking.
A specialized equipment used to cut the continuous roll of electrode sheets into the required sheet-like positive and negative electrode sheets for stacking using rolling blades.
A specialized piece of equipment that cuts continuous rolled electrode sheets into the sheet-like positive and negative electrodes required for stacking using a metal die-cutting method.
A specialized piece of equipment that uses laser cutting to transform continuous rolled electrode sheets into the sheet-like positive and negative electrodes required for stacking.
A specialized machine that uses ultrasonic welding to connect the tab with the connecting plate.
A specialized machine that welds the tab onto the electrode sheet and applies protective tape at specified locations on the electrode sheet. This machine can also automate the material preparation for tabs, electrode sheets, and protective tape.
A specialized machine that utilizes rolling pressure to achieve the required density of the continuous wound electrode sheets and subsequently uses a slitting blade to cut them into the required widths for battery production.
A specialized machine that uses die-cutting methods to obtain the positive and negative electrode sheets required for winding from continuous rolled electrode materials.
